Forest Pool

A round 4 acres in size it has two islands in the centre and a couple of banks of lilies. There is a fair amount of weed, especially in the shallower water.

Over all depth is relatively shallow with 2 feet to the left hand bank and 4 feet by the larger island, and in the centre before the lilies. It has about half an acre that is no more than 18 inches deep - the large carp can be seen on a sunny day patrolling the margins and lily pads, a stalkers paradise. Island Lake

Location: Island Lake is over 30 years old and set in 35 acres of beautiful woodland, lying close to the River Seine. It’s a 3.5 hour drive from Calais and only 45 minutes from Paris and Euro Disney.

It’s around 20 acres for a maximum of 10 anglers and it is possible to book the lake exclusively. The banks have been left as natural as possible but carefully cut into it are 14 swims, several being double, with a wooden cabin in each swim. There are also shower and toilet facilities on site. A large water of some 10 hectares with swims on both sides. All the pegs are wide and spacious - some can comfortably accommodate 3 or 4 anglers. Location: The Domaine de la Vallée is set in the lush countryside in the Aisne department of northern France, about 2 hours drive from the ferry port of Calais.

This large water covers around 100 acres and is over a mile long, a sumptuous setting for a carp angling session with islands, pads, bays, gravel bars, silt beds and the original stream bed - features in abundance! Sweet Chestnut Lake in Perigord-Limousin

Location: We are positioned midway between the large towns of Limoges, Perigueux and Angouleme, approximately a 50 minute drive from each. We are just over the Limousin border in the Dordogne region.

A beautiful stream and spring fed mature lake of just under 4 acres, 200 metres long and 70 metres wide. Depths vary from 1 metre, where the stream enters, to up to 5 metres at the dam end.

Levels are always maintained in the lake by the incoming streams and also by springs that can be seen bubbling from the lake bed. In the severe drought in France, in summer 2006, when many lakes actually dried up, sweet chestnut lake retained it’s full height

The lake bed has a combination of hard areas and silt, and there is no significant weed or snags.

Forest Lake Carp Fishing offers the ideal carp fishing holiday in France for those hoping to catch big carp. The carp lake is available for exclusive hire from April to October. The venue, which is British run, can accommodate up to five anglers per week, although 'fish stalkers' may prefer a smaller party if they wish to roam from peg to peg.
The lake contains a good head of carp to 40lb+, including a perfect 32lb linear carp. And if you fancy a fight that's a little different, the lake also includes a number of big catfish to around 60lb.
