Location: The Domaine de la Vallée is set in the lush countryside in the Aisne department of northern France, about 2 hours drive from the ferry port of Calais.

Domaine de la ValléeDescription:This large water covers around 100 acres and is over a mile long, a sumptuous setting for a carp angling session with islands, pads, bays, gravel bars, silt beds and the original stream bed - features in abundance! Like so many of the lakes in this part of the world it was created from a gravel workings. This site however, is one of the largest and oldest pits in the Oise valley.

The bottom of the lake is very varied with everything from deep gullies to shallow gravel bars and pockets of silt. The lake has several islands and bays, with extensive lily pads at the far end. All offer superb possibilities. This is a specimen hunters water with a low density of very large specimens, the best going over 50 pounds.

Stock:Carp to 50lb+, average 20-25lb.

Other Fish: Good mixed coarse fish, tench, perch, koi, rudd & roach as well as some large trout.

Facilities:Pitches are spacious with ample room for the installation of bivvies. Boats are available on site to transport your tackle and reach the pegs. There is a toilet and shower block on site and you can make use of a separate cool room for eating meals. Fridge, freezer and battery charging facilities are also available at the shower block.
